President of Zanzibar and Chairman of the Revolutionary Council, Dr.Hussein Ali Mwinyi has called for European Union member countries to invest in Tanzania and assure them investors that the investment environment is good and is getting better.
The Government of Tanzania, under the firm leadership of President Samia Suluhu Hassan is determined to create a friendly environment for investment and the development of the private sectors. President Dr. Mwinyi said this when he was closing the investment and Business Forum between Tanzania and the European Union held at the Julius International Conference hall Nyerere in Dar es Salaam today 24 February 2023.
The European Union is one of the frontline investors in Tanzania, adding that he believes that the investment and Trade Forum between Tanzania and the European Union is the catalyst fo strengthen cooperation between the union and Tanzania. President Dr. Mwinyi also invited investors from the European Union to invest in areas that have been prioritized by the investment institutions of the investment Center for mainland Tanzania (TIC) and the Zanzibar Investment Promotion Authority (ZIPA).
President Dr. Mwinyi expressed sincere thanks for the aid that Tanzania receives from the European Union of including 23 million Euro support which will help to improve the improvement program of business environment known as Blueprint.
The two day forum which was opened yesterday on February 23,2023 by the Vice President of the United Republic of Tanzania, Dr. Philip Mpango was attended by more that 800 investors from 27 EU member countries and more than 150 companies from Tanzania.
