The President of Zanzibar and Chairman of the Revolutionary Council Dr. Hussein Ali Mwinyi said the goals of the Tourism Business Stakeholder Conference (Z-Summit) are aimed at promoting opportunities and promoting Zanzibar tourism. Dr. Mwinyi said the government is working to create a more attractive investment environment in Zanzibar to make Zanzibar an attraction for investors and tourists and to avoid the environmental impact on our island resources. The global tourism industry contributes to pollution, biodiversity loss, climate change, air and water so we can work together to ensure that Zanzibar maintains good environmental conservation. Dr Mwinyi said tourism contributes significantly to Zanzibar’s economy by almost 30%. The government is therefore committed to meeting the needs of the tourism market by planning to reach a total of 850,000 tourists by 2025. President Dr. Mwinyi said this when he launched the Z-Summit stakeholder meeting held at the Golden Tulip Aiport Hotel in Zanzibar. Before launching the conference President Dr. Mwinyi visited the booths of various tourism stakeholders from within and outside the country.
