The President of Zanzibar and Chairman of the Revolutionary Council, Dr. Husein Ali Mwinyi has said that the Government of the eighth phase will continue efforts to reduce the cost of food products in the period leading up to the Holy month of Ramadan.
He said this today after the Friday prayer at Forodhani Mosque, Mjini District, Mjini West Region.
President Dr. Mwinyi has said that the Government will continue to put in place effective plans that will enable the reduction of food prices.
In the Friday Service, President Dr. Mwinyi promised to donate five million sh. to repair the Forodhani mosque.
