Zanzibar President and Chairman of the Revolutionary Council, Dr. Hussein Ali Mwinyi has commended the Ministry of Education, Science and Technology of the Government of the United Republic of Tanzania as well as the Board and Management of the Atomic Energy Commission of Tanzania (TAEC) for recognizing the importance of building offices and laboratories with a view to strengthening the atomic power services in Zanzibar. In addition, Dr. Mwinyi said the investment would strengthen the control of the safe use of radiation as well as strengthen the research, innovation and use of nuclear science and technology. President Dr. Mwinyi said this when he laid the cornerstone in the offices and laboratories of the Tanzania Atomic Power Commission (TAEC) – Zanzibar.
