World Pharmacist Day is observed on September 25 with the aim of promoting and advocating the role of the pharmacist in improving health all over the world and to encourage and promote activities that advocate the role of a pharmacist in improving health across the world.
It is well known that pharmacists across the world help people get the best from their medicines. Furthermore, they are also the people who advise patients on how to take medicines so that they are most effective.
The theme of Word Pharmacist Day 2021 is “Pharmacy: Always trusted for your health”
For many years, pharmacists have consistently been named among the top five most trusted professionals in national surveys. So. this theme represents that trusted is a central part of all human relationships and a fundamental element of social capital. Trust is also essential to health care: There is a significant association between trust in healthcare professionals and health outcomes for patients.
The International Pharmaceutical Federation(FIP),the global federation of national associations of pharmacists and pharmaceutical scientists, came into existence on September 25,1912.
World Pharmacist Day was created by the International Pharmaceutical Federation(FIP) Council at the World Congress of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences in Istanbul, Turkey in 2009.September 25 is chosen as World Pharmacist Day because on this date FIP came into existence in 1912.
